stablished in 1984 as an informal group of ten European commercial banks, the International Bankers Association's membership now counts roughly 60 foreign commercial banks and securities firms in Japan, with more than 16,000 staff.
We seek to promote a strong and efficient financial sector in Japan by: sharing information and best practices among our members; pooling our members' resources for common goals; and offering a forum for the Japanese authorities to discuss measures to strengthen Japan's financial sector.
