2011 IBA Annual General Meeting, Address by Senior Vice Minister  & Reception

The IBA held its 27th AGM at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, welcoming nearly 80 senior executives from member firms. Following the formal meeting, Mr. Ikko Nakatsuka, Senior Vice Minister for Financial Services, gave a special address. The reception which followed was attended by over 200 people. Year after year, the reception has proven to be an excellent opportunity for individuals from all sectors of the financial services community to discuss matters of common interest in an informal setting.

Mr. Fujita will discuss the system risk management framework expected for financial instruments firms from the perspective of a senior SESC inspector. He will cover the scope of system risk management, the key focuses of the FSA Supervisory Guidelines and the SESC Inspection Manual, and issues related to system risk management which are frequently found in SESC inspections, including those often found at foreign firms.
