IBA Japan is pleased to welcome back Mr. Haruhiko “Harry” Saito, Managing Director of Tokyo International Consulting (TIC) K.K. Harry is one of IBA Japan’s most popular speakers with broad experience in financial issues including regulation, compliance, and risk management. He has given many presentations to IBA Japan members over the years and provided observations and insights into various key regulatory themes.

In light of recent changes in FSA management, Harry’s presentation will:

  • Overview of the FSA’s priorities and the recent government initiatives
  • Highlight measures of promotion and globalization of the Japanese market
  • Touch upon the policy implications for global firms operating in Japan

Speaker:

Mr. Haruhiko “Harry” Saito, Managing Director, Tokyo International Consulting K.K

Haruhiko “Harry” Saito is the Managing Director of Tokyo International Consulting K.K. and has advised more than 400 domestic and foreign financial institutions, including IBA Japan members, on regulatory issues and supporting internal audits. Currently serves more than 90 global financial institutions on a retainer basis.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Saito worked at the Bank of Japan and served in various working groups such as Basel Committee on Banking Supervision etc.  Appointed as Senior Advisor to the London Stock Exchange Group. Mr. Saito holds a BA in Law from the University of Tokyo and an MBA from Harvard University.
